Here's my silly sketch from last night. Haven't been doing lots of drawing or writing these days. My oldest child is graduating from high school in about a month, and we're applying for lots of scholarships and also trying to get our yard looking good. So, life is busy.
I submitted my Ruthie and Marcie book to 13 publishers. I've received one reply back so far -- a rejection letter. I believe in the book and have begun to start the second book (called Alice's Revenge). So, my writing has kind of slowed down too with all that is going on in our lives.
But, had to do some sketching. Have no idea what any of it means (if anything at all).
The following three sketches began as a bunch of lines. This is what they became:
The above video is from my YouTube Channel Janes Brain. Anyone can draw. Once you get past criticizing your drawing skills it is fun too. Try it! Check out my video and check out the others. I have several on my site. I add more daily (or try too).
It is a bit strange to sketch in public. If people notice what you're doing they don't usually like it so you gotta be quick. Here's two sketches I drew a few minutes ago. If they are upside down, sorry. I just don't know how to get the iPad photos to look right often.
I was blessed with three journals this Christmas season. This gives me a lot more room for drawings! Here are three drawings that include three characters (and a pan):
I was sketching in my living room last night while I watched the old claymation movie of Jack Frost. Maybe you will see my Christmas inspiration in these sketches:
Sketching has taken a back seat to a book project I'm working on and holiday stuff. Well I guess I've sketched some. And if you follow me in other places online you've seen some of these but I'll share anyway.
Below is a the birthday card my now 11 year old was given on her birthday November 22:
Here are a few more sketches -- one is a copy of Frog and Toad. Love those dudes.
