I'm working on a project where I need to draw some female fish -- fish humans. These are my quick sketches. They are kind of strange but I think this will be a lot of fun:
I sketched the below pages a few nights ago while watching TV with my kids. Some of it was me just copying pictures I saw in a book. The rest is just from my own head. Sketch, sketch, sketch....it is a good thing!
Check out The Caterpillar, my absolute favorite children's magazine (maybe my favorite magazine of all). It is whimsical and lovely and fun and always makes me smile!
It comes from across the Great Pond from Ireland and Wales.
And the pages above will be featured in the Summer issue AND I drew/painted those pictures!!!
I am so thrilled.
Last day of school for my kiddos.
Above is Pete drinking his last cup of hot chocolate coffee before school.
It is going to be a good summer.
I haven't drawn for a while! Lots going on with school and kid activities. My oldest is graduating (he is pictured here with me and my husband/his dad....I got my hair dyed special for the occasion....).
Silly picture here but I just had to get something on paper. I just used children's crayola crayons, a pencil and a pen.
Not a masterpiece but fun to look at. Makes me smile.
If you never doodle try and do some doodling today. It's good for your brain and it kind of frees you from everything around you. Don't do it to draw something wonderful. Just do it for fun.
First I drew this face. It is a dude who doesn't look real happy to have his portrait done. But hey, I had to do it. I didn't know what to draw so I just started drawing squiggly lines. That is what his hair is.
I am hoping to take an online course soon about illustration. When God provides the funds I will do it. It is always good to keep learning and growing however you can.
Have a lovely day!
I ordered some new paint and got it earlier this week. I just had to try it today though I didn't really have any idea what I was going to paint.
I just messed around.
I love the paint!
Here's my experiment:
Both of these were painted on 9 by 12 watercolor sheets. The picture above is 5 by 8 inches. The one below is 5 by 6 inches -- perfect to put in a 9 by 12 frame and to hang on your wall. I'll add them to my store if you'd like to have them for yourself.
